The Liminal cycle explores how our interaction with the environment shapes us, placing the viewer on the threshold between the apparent calm of the landscape and the rising noise of civilisation. The paintings grow out of a study of walking — that simple movement in which thoughts slow down and the rhythm of steps joins the rhythm of the earth.
